“It is a joint effort and it has come forward thanks to the collaboration of many people,” said Ruiz, who highlighted the work done by the almost 30 volunteers who have given their time and put their sewing machines on. to work making these masks, as well as to the companies in the area that have donated the material that has allowed them to be made.

Around 4,000 of these masks have already been distributed among the population, at the homes of those who have requested them, “trying to prioritize those belonging to risk groups as older people or those who have previous pathologies,” explained the mayor of Health. They have also been delivered “to six companies in the area, delivered to the drivers of a transport company and also to the workers of various companies in the food sector, in which it is necessary to reinforce health security as much as possible” Ibáñez has qualified.

The masks, made in two sizes, “will continue to be produced until citizens need and demand them,” said Ibáñez, who has indicated that they can be collected at the Town Hall, upon request, through the telephone numbers 644 229 937 and 652 100 615.
