Prehistoric past

At the end of the third millennium BC various cultural transformations take place in the Valencian Community. Along with the progressive abandonment of the habitat of plain and the practice of multiple burial, there is a generalization of metallurgy, as well as the appearance of the so-called bell-shaped pottery, along with new types of tools.

The technique used for the bell-shaped vessel seems to be the smooth line; Its decoration consists of parallel areas filled with crossed lines in zigzag, or based on very rough lines of points.

Due to the abundant presence of localized bell-shaped pottery, these settlements can be considered as belonging to the transition phase from the Eneolithic to the Bronze Age. They are the towns of the Espeñetas in Orihuela, the Bancalico of the Moors, the Corner and the Cabezo, in Redován.
