The Redován City Council will propose in the next municipal plenary session in May the suspension of the rate of terraces for the bars and restaurants of the municipality, as reported by the mayor, Nely Ruiz, along with the councilor for Commerce, Maite Martínez, and the councilor for Legal Services, José Nájar. “In this way, we adopted a new measure to favor entrepreneurs in this sector and facilitate their return to activity and mitigate the economic effects produced by the ‘Covid-19’ health crisis, which has forced them to close for almost two months, “said the mayor. In addition, as expressed by the Councilor for Legal Services, “will not be charged or will be returned in cases where payment has occurred.”
For his part, Maite Martínez has assured that “we are in permanent contact with bars and restaurants to transmit the information on the conditions of their opening for next Monday the 11th at the time they are issued by the central government”, for ensure the correct implementation of sanitation and hygiene measures in bars and restaurants when entering phase 1 of de-escalation. The Councilor for Commerce added that the main objective is to guarantee that “they can return to their activity as soon as possible, ensure the economic viability of the owners and ensure the health of the users.”
On the other hand, the mayor, Nely Ruiz, has highlighted the importance of relaunching the commercial and catering sector, but specifying that it is something that must be done “always following health and safety recommendations to avoid unnecessary risks.” Ruiz also wanted to thank the work that has been done from all the departments of the Government Team since the start of the ‘Coronavirus’ health crisis, “and also now more than ever, at the moment when it seems that we can begin to retake some normality, and it’s time to help Redován’s neighbors in any way we can ”.

The Mayor of Redován, Nely Ruiz, has sent a letter to the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, in which she requests that the details of those infected by Coronavirus that are in the Valencian Community be disclosed in detail and by municipalities, with the aim of “being able to adopt the most appropriate local policies to guarantee the health security of the residents of Redován”.
The first mayor has recalled that this measure was already announced by the President of the Community, Ximo Puig, on April 8. “Two weeks later, it has not yet been launched, nor has any information been received in the municipality of Redován, nor have the massive tests necessary to detect Covid-19 or instructions to get them done with the Health Center” Ruiz has declared. However, and as the mayor has stated, “in health departments such as Torrevieja they have communicated these data in each locality”, and in other autonomous communities such as the Region of Murcia, “all municipalities of the evolution of the Covid-19 in all of them ”.
This is the second letter that the mayor has sent to the Ministry of Health with this request. The response to the first letter argued to update the data on the situation of the Covid-19 in the Valencian Community daily only by Health Departments “and for statistical purposes only”, to respect at all times the anonymity and the non-identification of specific persons and of in accordance with the data protection principles.
From the City Council of Redovan, they understand that in order to “guarantee health conditions and a successful solution to the health crisis of Redován’s neighbors, strategies must be set in cooperation between all administrations”, but “without ever forgetting the role of the town councils, which are always the closest institution to the citizen ”, stated the first mayor.
Ruiz stressed the vital importance of knowing the number of people affected by the pandemic at the municipal level, since "having all the data and information possible is the only way to achieve a successful exit from the current health crisis." Likewise, the Mayor added that "only in this way can we be sure that the measures we are taking to protect our citizens are the most appropriate under the circumstances."

El concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, Adrián Ballester, indica que las multas son por saltarse el confinamiento y recuerda que pueden ir desde los 600 hasta los 30.000 euros
Redován 10/04/2020. La Policía Local de Redován ha impuesto 44 violaciones contra vecinos de la localidad que en algún momento han incumplido las restricciones establecidas en el Real Decreto 463/2020 por el que se aprueba el Estado de Alarma debido al Coronavirus (Covid-19).
En líneas generales, el Ayuntamiento reconoce que la gran mayoría de vecinos cumple con el confinamiento, e incluso han salido iniciativas positivas como la elaboración de mascarillas para evitar contagios o empresas que han prestado para desinfectar calles, entre otras acciones. No obstante, tal y como explica el concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, Adrián Ballester, la Policía Local de Redován “será implacable ante aquellos que se saltan las normas e incumplen el Estado de Alarma, ya que tenemos que tener responsabilidad en los momentos difíciles y ayudarnos entre todos “. El edil también ha grabado que las multas, en caso de saltarse el confinamiento, pueden ir desde los 600 hasta los 30.000 euros, incluso con penas de cárcel para personas que sean reincidentes.
Por su parte, la alcaldesa de Redován, Nely Ruiz, ha querido mostrar su agradecimiento a todas las personas que están respetando el confinamiento. “Desde el Ayuntamiento agradecemos el esfuerzo que todos los vecinos están haciendo, sobre todo con el cuidado de nuestros mayores, así como con los más pequeños de la casa”. En este sentido, Ruiz ha grabado el Consistorio ha lanzado algunas iniciativas en redes sociales, “para que nos envíen fotografías de cómo están afectados el confinamiento de los niños y así hacer más ameno estos momentos difíciles”.
La primera edil también ha grabado que se han puesto en marcha todo tipo de medidas económicas y sociales, así como trabajos de desinfección de calles o en la entrada de los comercios. “El objetivo es tener seguridad y por eso quiero dar las gracias a todas las personas que se han prestado voluntarias para ayudar en todo lo que necesitamos”, ha afirmado Ruiz.
Multas por posesión de drogas
En el marco de la vigilancia que la Policía Local de Redován hace en el municipio, también se han levantado seis informes de sanción por presuntos delitos contra la salud pública y el tráfico de drogas, desde que se declaró el Estado de Alarma.
Asimismo, el Ayuntamiento, junto con la policía, ha lanzado varios mensajes en redes sociales, con el objetivo de que si algún vecino observa incidencias o el incumplimiento de las indicaciones que se recogen en el estado de alarma, se pueden poner en contacto con los agentes a través del número de teléfono 608072253.
