The City Council of Redován will extend the attention to the citizenship with the start-up of the Court of Peace

Redován will have a Justice of the Peace as of next January. This was announced by the mayor, Emilio Fernández, after the reception on 17 December of a letter sent to the Consistory by the General Director of Justice of the Generalitat Valenciana, Veronica Lopez Ramon, which is granted the staffing to this service that, according to the legislation, corresponds to localities of more than 5,000 inhabitants. A vindication made by the Redovanense City Council since 2015 and that, finally, has received a response.

The Redovanenses will be able to accede in January to the services of this Court of Peace in the municipal dependencies, that will have attention to the public from Monday to Friday. This Court, judicial body that exercises its jurisdiction in a municipality where there is no court of first instance, “allows to receive the instruction, prosecution, judgment and execution of certain minor cases and provision of judicial assistance,” said the mayor . Likewise, citizens may carry out procedures in the Civil Registry, such as the issuance of certificates and birth, marriage, death or life history records.

It will be from Tuesday, January 8, 2019, when the inauguration of these officials takes place, in the secretary and auxiliary judicial posts, from the Almoradí Court of Peace and the Court of First Instance nº2 of Cieza. Until now, these functions were performed by an administrative assistant of the City Council, “with which, thanks to the new additions, this person can return to his job, which will now be played by two professionals in the field of justice”, said the mayor. Emilio Fernandez has shown his satisfaction for the achievement achieved, since “it will not in any way be a detriment to the municipal coffers, since the Ministry of Justice is the one that economically supports the remuneration of these new workers”.
