The councillor for Town Planning, Water and Infrastructures of the Redován Town Council, David Ballesta Cartagena, has announced this morning his resignation as councillor for professional reasons, a fact that will be made effective in the plenary session that the Town Council plans to hold on 18 July. Ballesta has appeared after communicating this decision to his colleagues in the government team during the Governing Board held this morning, a communication that has been extended to municipal staff and especially to the councils in which he will carry out his work until the middle of next month. In a brief statement, Ballesta thanked the Mayoress, Nely Ruiz Peral, for the confidence placed in him to form part of her government project for the municipality, and assured that his vocation will lead him to continue working for Redován from outside the Town Hall. As soon as this resignation becomes effective, the process will begin for the next on the Partido Popular’s electoral list, Guillermo Fernández Mateo, to take up his post, something which will probably be made official at the plenary session in September.
